Jayaraj Ramakrishnan (Jay) is an experienced transport modeller with over 20 years in the field of transportation planning and traffic engineering. For the past 16 years, he has focused primarily on transport modelling, building a strong track record across the UK, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and India.

He has worked extensively with modelling platforms such as VISUM, VISSIM, EMME, and SATURN, and has contributed to the development of several large-scale regional and city-wide transport models—including for London, Dubai, Doha, and Manama. His experience spans both public transport and highway modelling, covering everything from regional master plans to local network studies.

Jayaraj is particularly skilled at building and calibrating complex networks, running demand forecasts, and supporting multi-scenario planning. His work is often used to inform infrastructure decisions, public transport strategies, and urban development plans.

Before joining Trublu Consulting, he held key roles at Hyder Consulting, MVA Consultancy, and Parsons, where he worked on a wide range of modelling projects for both government and private clients.

At Trublu, Jayaraj leads our transportation engineering and analytics work and manages the technical team under this domain. He oversees model development, data analysis, and ensures that all modelling outputs meet the highest standards. He also plays an active role in mentoring junior staff and guiding the technical direction of our projects.
