The Digital Art Museum (DAM) project is a large-scale development spanning over 15,000 sqm of Gross Floor Area (GFA). It features immersive experiential venues, public spaces, and a permanent exhibition space dedicated to digital art. Positioned within the Diriyah North District, DAM is designed to be a major cultural attraction that aligns with the area’s vision of promoting pedestrian-focused and car-free environments. The project aims to integrate seamlessly with surrounding infrastructure, enhancing both the cultural and urban landscape.
One of the key challenges lies in balancing the needs for efficient access and parking with the development’s overarching goal of creating a pedestrian-friendly, car-free environment. The strategic location within a busy district adds to the complexity of the traffic flow, requiring detailed traffic analysis to ensure smooth operations and visitor experience.
To address these challenges, traffic and parking design input was integrated at every design stage of the project. A parking strategy was developed, alongside a Traffic Impact Study (TIS) report, ensuring that the increased traffic volume could be efficiently managed.
